India records 50,040 new Covid-19 cases, 1,258 deaths in last 24 hours

India on Sunday reported 50,040 new Covid-19 infections over the last 24 hours, data from the health ministry showed. The death toll climbed to 3,95,751 with 1,258 more people succumbing to the viral disease in a day.
